The course aims to fulfil the requirements for the fifth year of the 5 + 1 pathway to general psychology registration. The program aims to equip graduates with skills required to progress to an approved one year internship through coursework, research skills development and practical placements.
Postgraduate and higher courses usually use academic prerequisites, degree equivalence and English-language requirements.
Postgraduate entry
To be eligible for admission applicants must:
Have completed an APAC accredited fourth year of study in the field of Psychology with a minimum classification of Honours 2A or equivalent
In addition the qualification mentioned above must have been completed within 10 years prior to the commencement of this course
Applicants must be eligible for registration with the Psychology Board of Australia as a provisional psychologist with applicants who have completed their qualifications internationally needing to have their qualifications assessed by the Australian Psychological Society as a part of this process

If the student's current English result is below the direct-entry requirement, consider the university's recognised English language pathway or ELICOS package. When the student successfully completes the approved pathway at the required level, the university may accept that pathway for English entry without requiring a new IELTS, TOEFL or PTE result.
