Postgraduate entry

A successful applicant for admission to the Graduate Diploma in Biostatistics will hold:

  • a bachelors degree in statistics, mathematics, science, psychology, medicine, pharmacy, economics, health sciences or other appropriate discipline from the University of Sydney or equivalent qualification
  • completion of the requirements of the embedded Graduate Certificate in Biostatistics.
English requirement
IELTS Academic 6.5, no band below 6PTE Academic 64, no component below 60TOEFL iBT 85 (L 17 / R 17 / W 19 / S 17)

If your current English result is below direct entry, consider the university-recognised English language pathway or ELICOS package; successful completion at the required level can usually satisfy English entry without another English test.
