A level: AAB - AAB including grade A in Mathematics
OR
ABB including grade A in Mathematics AND one A level from: Further Maths, Biology, Chemistry, English Literature, Geography, History, Physics and Modern/Classical Languages or grade 2 in any STEP paper.
We do not accept General Studies and Critical Thinking as one of the three A level grades.
Equivalent grades will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- UCAS Tariff:
- Scottish Higher: AAABB - AAABB (combination of Highers and Advanced Highers) with AB at Advanced Higher level and including Mathematics at Advanced Higher grade A.
Scottish qualifications can be taken in more than one sitting.
- Access to HE Diploma: D: 45 credits - 45 level 3 credits at Distinction including 15 level 3 credits in mathematics.
A Newcastle University Mathematics and Statistics pre-entry course may also be required.
