Course overview

Our newly revamped Master of Education is designed for a range of educational professionals who want to develop or extend their expertise in educational theories, policies and approaches to enrich current practices in their roles or move into leadership, specialist or coordinator positions. Students have the opportunity to become acknowledged leaders in their field of interest by choosing from a wide range of ten specializations, including two newly developed specializations, The Science of Learning and Digital Futures and Innovative Practices.

Entry requirements

Postgraduate and higher courses usually use academic prerequisites, degree equivalence and English-language requirements.

Postgraduate entry

A four-year education degree (or equivalent),

  • An undergraduate degree in any discipline and at least 50 credit points (or equivalent) of graduate study in education or in the relevant discipline to the proposed topic of research,
  • A weighted average mark of at least H2A (75%) or equivalent in the previous study.
English requirement
IELTS Academic 7

If your current English result is below direct entry, consider the university-recognised English language pathway or ELICOS package; successful completion at the required level can usually satisfy English entry without another English test.
