ProviderUNSW SydneyThis unique and innovative 5-year program prepares you to practise as an exercise scientist, exercise physiologist and a physiotherapist. You will learn how the body works and functions in healthy populations, in chronic disease states and when injured, as well as how to assess, diagnose, treat, manage and prevent a wide range of health conditions across the lifespan.
This degree has a strong focus on interprofessional education, communication and teamwork, as well as evidence-based and reflective practice. Throughout the program, commencing in first year, you will experience more than 1800 hours of placements in a wide spectrum of health and clinical settings, including hospitals, community practices, workplace rehabilitation and aged care centres.
This degree has an embedded professional practice stream, where you’ll study with students from our dietetics, exercise physiology and pharmacy programs. You’ll gain an understanding of how different teams work together to improve patient outcomes, such as how and when to refer a client to another health professional.
